Our candidates What is it?

“The joint faculty-student committee is the body that monitors the provision of education and the quality of teaching, with specific focus on student opinions and results. It is made up of five lecturers and five students and each year (at the end of the first semester) it carries out its own analysis, based on the results and data provided by the individual courses, grades and data from each examination, but above all the questionnaires filled in by the students at each examination registration. The committee’s findings are reported to all study course coordinators and to the Head of School: it is therefore a powerful tool for making students’ opinions on teaching heard.
The School Council is a body consisting of the Dean, the Directors of the Departments linked in the School, the Study Course Coordinators and an elected student representative. Here, issues of broad interest affecting all Courses of Study and Departments are discussed: teaching and research guidelines, innovative teaching, examination methods, extracurricular projects and much more. In the Council, collective problems are discussed and analysed in an active exchange between lecturers and students, and new and shared solutions are discussed.”
