The Academic Senate is the body that directs and plans the development of the University, with particular regard to teaching and research, and supervises the overall functioning of the institution.
The members of the Senate have an all-round view of the Athenaeum: they also exchange views with their colleagues in the Schools through a body known as the Student Council. They are thus able to take the students’ demands to the highest decision-making levels.
