Hi everyone!
My name is Andrea, I’m a second-year Mechanical Engineering student from Pavia, and I practice fencing. Around the second half of my first year, I almost accidentally discovered the many activities that Politecnico offers outside of lectures — starting with student associations, but also including many other projects and opportunities that often go unnoticed and underappreciated.
That’s when I realized something important: even though PoliMi is the top university in Italy, it still has a lot of room for improvement, especially when it comes to student life beyond academics.
For me, it’s essential to help build a university environment that’s truly student-friendly — a place where even long days of studying and hard work can feel more enjoyable, inspiring, and human.
On May 14th and 15th, I’m running as a candidate because I want to step up, get involved, and try to make a difference — to give future students the opportunities I didn’t have, but that everyone deserves.
